BIMI Record Checker

Look up a domain's BIMI TXT record for brand logo and authority evidence URLs.

About the BIMI Record Checker

BIMI (Brand Indicators for Message Identification) lets mailbox providers show your brand logo next to authenticated email. The BIMI Record Checker reads the TXT record at default._bimi.yourdomain (or a custom selector) and shows the logo URL, authority evidence URL, and raw record text.

A valid BIMI setup requires DMARC at enforcement (quarantine or reject), a compliant SVG logo hosted at the l= URL, and often a Verified Mark Certificate referenced by the a= tag for providers like Gmail. This tool confirms the DNS side is published; it does not validate the SVG or certificate themselves.

The lookup runs on our server over DNS-over-HTTPS, like the other Email and DNS tools. The domain you enter is sent for the query and is not stored.

Use Email Health first to confirm SPF, DKIM, and DMARC are in place before investing in BIMI assets. BIMI only helps after authentication is solid.

Frequently asked questions

Where is the BIMI record published?

As a TXT record on default._bimi.yourdomain.com. Some providers document a different selector; enter it in the selector field if so.

What is the a= tag?

The authority evidence URL, usually pointing to a Verified Mark Certificate (VMC) or an authority document. Gmail requires a valid VMC for logo display.

BIMI is published but my logo does not show in Gmail.

Gmail also requires DMARC p=quarantine or p=reject, a square SVG under 32 KB served over HTTPS with a valid Content-Type, and an approved VMC. DNS alone is not enough.

Is my domain stored?

No. Our server queries public DNS and returns the result without persisting the domain.

Can I check a selector other than default?

Yes. Change the selector field before running the check. The query targets selector._bimi.yourdomain.
